Volunteer Appreciation Week

9 Apr

Walk into the YWCA on any given day and there will be volunteers pushing brooms, reading with students in our School-Age program, cooking a meal for a Circles of Hope meeting or caring for children in the Child Care Center.

We are grateful everyday for the gifts of time and talent that volunteers give to the YWCA. We especially want to honor our volunteers during the week of April 20, National Volunteer Week. When you are at the YWCA April 20-24 please look for the display in our lobby that highlights the accomplishments of our volunteers and advertises current volunteer opportunities.

The YWCA is a strong community organization because of all of the people who contribute to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Thank you to all of our volunteers, in all of our programs, you live out the mission and values of the YWCA. Our community would not be the same without you!

If you are interested in joining our many talented and dedicated volunteers please contact Heidi Sistare, Volunteer Coordinator at 828-254-7206 x204 or volunteer@ywcaofasheville.org.
