On Thursday, May 6, at 5:00 pm Patricia Yancey, Public Education Director of the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Council of NC, will speak at the YWCA of Asheville, 185 S. French Broad Ave. Yancey will provide an overview of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative and the threat to future funding. In addition, there will be panel of participants in the YWCA’s MotherLove mentoring program for teen moms. The participants will share how the program has benefited them and then facilitate further discussion and questions. The audience will have a chance to ask questions and learn about ways to advocate for continued funding for the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative.
