Triathlon Training Club

27 Apr

The YWCA has an excellent triathlon training club which is offered through Club W: The YWCA Health & Fitness Center. The club helps prepare participants for the Asheville Triathlon, which will be on July 18, 2010. It is a sprint triathlon consisting of a 400 meter swim followed by a 11.6 mile bike ride followed by a 5K run. The program includes a training plan and clinics in each of the three sports.

We are going to follow two of the participants as they progress towards their goal. This is the first triathlon for both of them. So please let us introduce you to PJ Roth, who was inspired to do this for 52nd B-Day, and Susan Enderle, who joined Club W specifically for this program. These photos are from last week’s Chi Running clinic. We hope you will join us in rooting for PJ and Susan.

Rock on! My first tri was an empowering exciting challenging great day! And now I’m hooked – it’s a super way to meet new friends, stay focused on fitness, and have fun.
