A.C. Reynolds Middle School

4 May

A.C. Reynolds Middle School participated in the YWCA Stand Against Racism, here is a report on what they did (with photos) from School Counselor Allison Goodman:

“Social Studies teachers facilitated lessons with the theme of appreciating diversity. We had a school-wide bumper sticker challenge where the students were encouraged to design a bumper sticker with the theme of tolerance and diversity. About 25 students created a bumper sticker and they are currently on display. We had the morning announcements read by students in three different languages over the course of three days and teachers processed this experience with their students during homeroom. Throughout the week, students were encouraged to sign the youth pledge displayed on a bulletin board. The pledge was also read over the announcements.”
