Many Faces of Asheville

11 Aug

Yesterday, YWCA Marketing Director Ami Worthen attended the Center for Diversity’s excellent and informative “Many Faces of Asheville” tour. The tour included stops at three houses of worship and at the oldest African American cemetery in WNC. Part of the day was a walking tour of downtown where Center for Diversity Director Debi Miles shared Asheville history related to Native Americans, immigrants, the women’s sufferage movement and the integration of local businesses. Here are a few photos from the tour.
