Cross-posted from BlogAsheville.com:

It’s that time again, bloggers of Asheville! For the fifth year, Asheville’s bloggers, tweeters and Facebookers gather to honor online excellence in a charity event open to all.  Whether you blog or whether you tweet, if you’re online, you’re one of us.

Come party in meatspace with Asheville’s blogerati at Asheville BlogAid
A Benefit for the YWCA and the Health Adventure
Saturday Sept. 18
YWCA (3-5 p.m) and The Health Adventure (5:30-7:30 p.m.)
$10

Asheville BlogAid will also host the 2010 Social Media Awards–watch for information on nominating your favorite people on bloggers and tweeters.

A blogger party to raise funds for two local non-profits, YWCA of Asheville and The Health Adventure, Asheville Blog Aid will hit both locations so you can see what your support is helping.

  • raffle featuring amazing prizes from local businesses
  • attendees who pre-register will get gift bags filled with awesomeness (you won’t be disappointed!)
  • food, drink, activities, entertainers and a chance to hang out with your local social media friends.

There will be two locations, and a $10 ticket allows you to attend one or both.

If you are interested in providing entertainment or you can donate an item for the fundraising raffle or auction, please email kelby@typeamomconference.com.

Note from Jennifer: BlogAsheville’s beloved fall party Blogapalooza combines this year with an event put on by Asheville blogger Kelby Carr. Blog Aid. Yes, we’re piggy-backing onto Kelby’s event.

But it’s still all about the bloggers, all about the goofy awards, all about helping a local nonprofit, and most importantly to me–all about keeping our blog community connected. It doesn’t matter who puts it on–if we bloggers are there helping our community, it’s Blogapalooza no matter what we call it.

See you there!
