Help FutureVision Students Learn Money Management

18 Nov

From FutureVision Assistant Director Rachel Herrick:

Last December the FutureVision teen program held a money management workshop followed by a “thrift store” for students to “shop” in. We are going to do the same thing again this year as it went over so well with our students. For a couple weeks we will introduce lessons and workshops on how to effectively budget and prioritize needs verses wants. After students participate in these lessons, they will be given an amount of “money” to shop in our Thrift Store with intentions to buy items they may need before purchasing items they want. The shopping will take place on Tuesday December 7th and Thursday December 9th.

In order to do this, we need YOUR help! We had such a fantastic turnout last year of donated goods and hope you can help again this year. So, before you go to Goodwill, please drop off any clothing, shoes, belts, ties, frames, jewelry, dresses, scarves, hats, etc. (see list below) to the YWCA!  Contact us at 254-7206 x 205 if you have any questions.
