The YWCA, in partnership with Smart Start and FIRST, is hosting the The Incredible Years, FIRST’s free parent education program for families of 3 to 5 year olds who identify their children as having challenging behaviors. The 14-week series will start on February 5th at 5:30 pm. Childcare and dinner will be provided. The course teaches parenting strategies to promote children’s social skills and positive behavior.
The sessions are conducted by two certified facilitators. Each weekly session of the fourteen consecutive week series lasts approximately two hours, with dinner and child care provided. Participants are encouraged to have all adult members of the household with care giving responsibilities participate in the series.
“I strongly recommend the Incredible Years program to any parent or caregiver who is looking for practical and long-term solutions to the challenging behaviors of young children. The strategies taught really work!”
